Therapy Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between you (“the Client”) and Adversity to Strength regarding therapy services, subscriptions, and related offerings. By signing up for therapy sessions or subscribing to a plan, you agree to these terms.

2. Therapy Sessions & Subscription Plan
2.1 Pay-Per-Session
  • Individual therapy sessions are available at £65 per session.
  • Payments must be made in full before each session.
2.2 Subscription Plan (£220/month)
  • Includes 4 one-on-one therapy sessions per month.
  • Access to self-paced therapy resources & community support.
  • Subscription renews automatically every month until canceled.
2.3 Additional Sessions
  • If you require more than 4 sessions within a subscribed month, additional sessions are available at a discounted rate of £40 per session.
  • Additional sessions are subject to therapist availability.
3. Payments & Billing
  • All payments are processed securely online.
  • The subscription fee is billed monthly on a recurring basis.
  • Missed sessions are not rolled over unless agreed in advance.
  • If payment fails, access to services may be paused until resolved.
  • All fees are non-refundable once paid, except in cases where Adversity to Strength is unable to provide the service.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
  • Pay-per-session clients must cancel at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule.
  • Subscription clients may cancel at any time, but no refunds will be issued for the current billing cycle.
  • If a therapist cancels, a replacement session will be arranged at no extra cost.
  • In the event of repeated no-shows (3+ missed appointments without notice), the subscription may be suspended without refund.
5. Therapist Availability & Sessions
  • Sessions are booked based on therapist availability.
  • You may request a specific therapist, but this is not guaranteed.
  • Sessions are conducted online unless otherwise agreed.
  • If a therapist is unavailable due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, efforts will be made to rebook with another therapist or reschedule.
6. Changing Your Therapist
  • If you wish to change your therapist, you must email Adversity to Strength at [Your Support Email].
  • Your request must include a brief reason for the change to help us find a better match.
  • Therapist changes are subject to availability and may take up to 7 days to process.
7. Confidentiality & Data Protection
  • All therapy sessions are confidential, following UK professional ethics.
  • Your personal data is stored securely and never shared without consent, except where legally required (e.g., safeguarding concerns, risk of harm).
  • You agree not to record therapy sessions without explicit consent from both parties.
8. Client Responsibilities
  • Therapy requires active participation; results vary based on commitment and engagement.
  • You must provide honest and accurate information to your therapist.
  • You must be over 18 to access therapy unless parental/guardian consent is given.
9. Safeguarding & Crisis Situations
  • Therapy is not a substitute for emergency medical care. If you are in crisis, contact emergency services.
  • If you disclose intent to harm yourself or others, therapists may be legally required to breach confidentiality and take appropriate action.
10. Disclaimer & Liability
  • Therapy provides emotional support and coping strategies but does not guarantee specific outcomes.
  • Adversity to Strength is not responsible for personal decisions or actions taken based on therapy.
  • Therapists are contractors, not employees, and operate under professional ethical guidelines.
11. Modifications to Terms
  • Adversity to Strength reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions as needed. Clients will be notified of major changes via email.

By booking a session or subscribing, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.

Furthermore,

1. Late Arrivals & Session Duration
  • If a client is late, the session will still end at the scheduled time.
  • If a client is more than 15 minutes late, the session may be forfeited without a refund.
2. Therapist Cancellations & Emergency Situations
  • If a therapist cancels due to illness or emergency, a replacement session will be offered as soon as possible.
3. Subscription Pauses (Optional if you want to offer this)
  • Clients can pause their subscription for up to one month per year for valid reasons (e.g., travel, illness).
  • A written request must be sent 7 days before the next billing cycle.
4. Fair Use Policy (Prevents session abuse in unlimited plans, if applicable in the future)
  • Clients should use sessions reasonably to ensure fair access for all subscribers.
  • If excessive bookings occur, Adversity to Strength reserves the right to review the subscription.
5. Intellectual Property (Protects your content, courses, and resources)
  • All materials provided (PDFs, videos, worksheets) are for personal use only.
  • Clients may not copy, share, or resell therapy resources.
