Terms & Conditions For Therapists

These Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) outline the expectations and responsibilities of therapists contracting with Adversity to Strength (“Company”). By joining as a therapist, you agree to these Terms.

1. Independent Contractor Agreement
  • Therapists operate as independent contractors, not employees of Adversity to Strength.
  • Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and professional liability coverage.
2. Services & Responsibilities
  • Provide professional therapy services to clients in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Maintain appropriate professional accreditation and licensing required for practice.
  • Adhere to all Company policies, including confidentiality and data protection.
  • Maintain accurate session notes and client records where required.
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with clients and Company staff.
3. Referral Allocation & Response Policy
  • Adversity to Strength cannot guarantee the number of referrals a therapist will receive.
  • Therapists must respond to new referrals within 24 hours.
  • If no response is received within this timeframe, the referral will be allocated to another therapist.
  • Repeated failure to respond to referrals may result in a review of the therapist’s position.
  • If a therapist continually fails to respond to referrals, Adversity to Strength reserves the right to terminate their contract.
4. Payment & Fees
  • Therapists will receive £35 per client for every session completed with a subscriber.
  • If a subscriber cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice or fails to attend a booked session, the therapist will receive £20.
  • Payments will be processed *[monthly **via** bank transfer**.
  • Payments will be issued on the 1st day or 1st working day each month whichever comes first.
5. Session Scheduling & Cancellations
  • Therapists manage their own availability within the platform.
  • Therapists are expected to offer a minimum of 5 ** available slots per week**.
  • If a therapist needs to cancel or reschedule a session, they must provide reasonable notice.
  • Clients must give at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations to avoid charges.
6. Confidentiality & Data Protection
  • All client information must remain strictly confidential in accordance with GDPR and other relevant laws.
  • Personal client data should not be stored outside the Company’s secure platform.
  • Therapists agree to maintain confidentiality regarding Adversity to Strength‘s business operations, pricing, and internal processes.
7. Professional Conduct
  • Therapists must uphold ethical standards and avoid conflicts of interest.
  • All communication with clients should be done through the platform or official email (no personal phone numbers, WhatsApp, or other messaging apps).
  • Therapists should not provide support outside of scheduled sessions unless through agreed-upon follow-up emails.
  • Any breaches of ethical or professional conduct may result in termination of contract.
8. Non-Solicitation Clause
  • Therapists agree not to solicit or offer private therapy services to clients they have met through Adversity to Strength for a period of 6 months after contract termination.
9. Client Complaints & Performance Review
  • Therapists may receive periodic performance reviews based on client feedback and adherence to policies.
  • If a client submits a complaint, the Company will investigate the issue fairly and provide feedback.
  • Therapists may be subject to additional training or intervention if performance concerns arise.
10. Dispute Resolution
  • In the event of a dispute between the therapist and Adversity to Strength, both parties agree to attempt resolution through internal review and mediation before pursuing legal action.
  • Any legal proceedings will be governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
11. Termination of Agreement
  • Either party may terminate this agreement with **7 days’ written notice**.
  • Adversity to Strength reserves the right to immediately terminate a therapist’s contract in cases of misconduct, violation of policies, or repeated failure to respond to referrals.
12. Liability & Indemnity
  • Therapists are responsible for their own professional liability insurance.
  • Adversity to Strength is not liable for any claims arising from therapy sessions provided by the contractor.
