About me
Where do you even start?
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re not sure where to begin. With so many therapists offering different approaches, it’s hard to know what’s best for you. Hi, I’m Lauren, a counsellor/psychotherapist (these terms are often used interchangeably), and I work with individuals in person, over the phone, and online, helping them navigate a range of challenges.
I’m trained as a person-centred counsellor, which simply means I focus on you and what you need. I won’t push you to talk about things you’re not ready for, and there’s no set agenda in our sessions. The space I provide is for you to express yourself freely and start to understand your feelings and experiences at your own pace.
I know that choosing the right therapist can be daunting, especially if you’ve never tried therapy before. The most important thing is finding someone you feel comfortable with. If you don’t feel safe or able to trust the person you’re working with, therapy won’t be as effective. That’s why I offer a free, no-obligation introductory call (I really do mean no obligation at all). This gives us a chance to chat about how I work, what you’re looking for, and whether we might be a good fit.
If you think I could help or if you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out. There’s no such thing as a silly question—whether by email or WhatsApp, I’m here to help however I can. Good luck with your search, and remember, therapy can be life-changing. I’ve seen it make a real difference for so many people.
